Profile of Mr.Sabri Mudallal
The founder of ALTURATH group
Born in 1918
in Aleppo,Syria.
His musical and singing talents appeared when he was very young (twelve years
old) .
His tutor was the late Omar Al Batsh ,who volunteered to teach that talented youngman the basics of Mowashahat "terza rima" songs.
When the
Aleppo radio station was opened Mr.Mudallal aired a lot of musical works.
At a later stage, he quit the radio to found a nucleus of a team specializes in
singing panegyric poems .
He is the first to introduce rhythm (tambourine) to singing. He has given all his attention and care to the team .He has composed about 40 melodies,which are the most common among panegyrical singers in Syria and the Arab world.He has been well known for extemporized singing which is harder than it looks.
